Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack is the planned keynote interview for the Summit. (Day and Time TBA) Followed by panel discussions on Trade, both from a Policy side and the Numbers side, with members from the Meat Export Federation, along with representatives from Grain, Soybean, Wheat and Dairy Export Councils. During the afternoon session Alpha Farm Directors will host a group of Farmers and Ranchers from across the Midwest to discuss current topics and issues they face in 2021. Day one will wrap up with a panel of Forecasters and Educators from Iowa State, Kansas State, and Weather Hub for a discussion of Weather and Climate.
Day Two will begin with a Congressional Panel with Ag Committee members from the House and Senate. Followed by a discussion on Financials and PPP. The afternoon sessions will start with a discussion on Conservation practices with Soil Health Partnership Members, along with NRCS and SWCD leaders. Next Alpha Farm Directors will host a panel of leaders from various Ag Organizations to look at how agricultural groups and organizations are preparing to work with the Biden Administration. The final session of the summit will be a discussion of the emerging Producer to Consumer sales options with President of Hitch Pin Trever McKeeman.
